Planning

Bedford Borough Council Planning Department seeks the views of the Parish Council on all planning applications made within the Parish.  These are considered at our Parish Council meetings which are held bi-monthly. The Parish Council also holds dedicated Planning Meetings (also held bi-monthly) so that applications received between Parish Council meetings can be considered.  

Having considered an application, the Parish Council will take into account any comments received from parishioners before deciding whether or not to respond to the Planning Department.  Comments can be submitted via email to the Clerk at  gdclerk@hotmail.co.uk or in person at a meeting - all of our meetings are open to the public.  If you wish to speak about a particular application at one of our meetings it would be most helpful if you could contact the Clerk prior to that meeting. The Parish Council have no power to grant or refuse applications. 

Those parishioners who have an interest in an application can also contact Bedford Borough Council Planning Department, who are the authority that give or refuse planning permission. Telephone the Borough Council on 01234 267422 and ask for the Planning Department. You can also email the Department at planning@bedford.gov.uk or send correspondence to Planning, 4th Floor, Borough Hall, Cauldwell Street, Bedford, MK42 9AP.

The next Parish Council meeting will take place at 7.30pm on 9th July 2018.
